Actively supporting

Being a member of Helem Montreal means actively supporting an organization that has been present in Montreal since 2004. Over the years, Helem has made a name for itself in the Montreal community thanks to its action in protecting Arab-speaking LGBTQs and raising awareness around the issues that affect them.

Participating in decisions

By being a member, we also invite you to give some of your time and share your expertise to achieve our objectives as a group. In addition, you will have the right to oversee Helem's activities and the right to vote at the General Assembly. You will thus be able to participate actively in the organization's decision-making.

A visible community

Monthly meetings (conferences, discussions, thematic evenings...). Active and noticed participation in the Community day and in the Annual Montreal Pride parade. Social and cultural events throughout the year (museum, parties, outings, participation in outdoor events...).

All together

Anyone can join, regardless of ethnicity, religion, gender or sexual orientation. No one is required to publicly display their homosexuality in order to be a member of our organization. You're not from the Arabic-speaking community? It doesn't matter. Many of our members, friends and even Board members are not either.
