The aim of the Finances and Fundraising position is to search and apply for grant opportunities that promote the sustained growth and development of Helem Montreal as a non-profit, non-governmental organization. The position will work under the supervision of VP Finances to achieve goals, including securing funding to hire Helem Montreal’s first employee.

Duration: 6 months (flexible) Key Responsibilities:

• Search for funding opportunities within the Quebec province and across Canada
• Draft applications for funding opportunities, under the guidance of VP Finances
• Create a financial growth strategy for Helem Montreal, with supervision and support from VP Finances

Qualifications:

• Previous experience preferred, but not required
• Self-motivated, creative, and driven
• Supportive of the LGBTQ+ community and LGBTQ+ causes
• Excellent communication skills in French
• English preferred, but not required
